QUOTE (Silicate @ Sep 5 2010, 02:25 PM) *Reboots and crawls free from the scrap heap in a dark alley, turning back briefly to dig out a Robo-Cola*
... I see that I've returned, to find that all hell has broken loose, in both humor and also in a concretely tragic fashion. There will be much for me to catch up with, it appears.
... I also see tidings of doom from Chalcara; I have long wondered of Other M, and it's portrayal and potential. Ah, long time no see, SiO 4.

It is good go be back. Thank you everyone for the welcome. I see that the place/this thread hasn't deviated from it's amusing and good-natured course... As I hadn't worked on anything directly related to SatAM in a while, I didn't see myself as having credible reason to return here as much (after all, no spirited work and study, no fandom-membership card.) . There is still more relating to that slow project of mine which I'd rather work on, but life and fatigue have a way of blocking the way. Then again, I'm simply lazy. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sleeping_03anim.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) In any case, I do what I can, and for today, that's been taking account of my acrylic painting supplies, and gauging how much I will have to purchase for these painting projects... And what financial pain said purchases will cause. =p I am also wondering where I could find some powdered semiprecious stone....

And now being admin as well as the ONLY person able to do your dirty work ((IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ), I kinda can't walk off. Not that I'd even want to in the first place. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It's cozy here, and I like being here.

WB silicate.
And yeah. Other M's definitivly NOT up to the usual Metroid standard. It's a decent, nay, I might even qualify it as a good game, but it falls flat as a Metroid.
It's fun to play as hyper agile-I-pew-pew Samus after the more-walking-tank feeling of Prime, though.
Whiny-parts-aside the characterisation annoys me. It's all sooo "Oh yes, big authority figure, how shall I honour you, I've been soooo wrong for challenging you" - and I'd wish they'd shortened the dialogue.

(IMG: style_emoticons/default/goatee.gif) Indeed. My dogs get the "glowing eyes" bonus to the "creepy dog stare", since I keep the house barely lit. Usually they do that as a "you forgot to fill the food bowls" or "we'd like to go out, but would rather be creepy about it, instead of the more usual walking up and directly interrupting what you're doing" type of thing.

It's probly some hold over from when they were wolves or something. Or, sometimes them just being hyper-attentive. Dogs have been bred to key on a lot of our subconscious actions, so they tend to watch us a bit closer than we usually realize.

See, there's a reason I prefer cats.
If they want to kill you, you'll never know before it's too late.
