Author's Note: Y'know, I never bothered to introduce myself.' I'm a hacker from the SSRG who also happens to like SatAM.' Anyway, get ready for a violent story and a strange ending.' Remember this one, it has huge impact on many stories... I've put notes on where the really graphic stuff is.' If you want to print it out, you may take these notes out. Error in the System II By Nayr T'nargh "Her hand gently beckons, she whispers your name--but those who go with her are never the same." -Lost Soul (Read Error in the System before this story) The Freedom Fighter's Final Fight "We're almost to the location of the roboticizer.' All I need is a few minutes to change the wiring and we should at least be able to deroboticize them for about 12 hours, but that's all I need.' It will be a pain, but we can get everyone to use the deroboticizer in Knothole every 12 hours.' Not to mention I'll get the schematics for the thing so I can make more." Rotor told Sally.' Sally and Rotor were riding at top speed towards Robotropolis on the back of Dulcy the dragon.' All of a sudden, laser fire came flying at them.' Dulcy swooped out of the way. "Hold on everyone!' We're goin' down!" Dulcy yelled and they crashed into one of the ally ways.' Sally saw a Mecha-Tails land in front of her. "Tails!' Tails don't you recognize me?" Sally said.' Tails zeroed in on her and fired.' Sally somersaulted out of the way.' Sally tried again. "Don't you remember the freedom fighters?" Sally asked.' Tails zeroed in again, this time more reluctant and fired.' Sally finally came up with what she needed to say. "Remember when you played hockey with Sonic?" Sally asked. "I know Sonic's gone, but you can still come back to us Tails." "Aunt--" Tails started to say. "Don't say my name, Tails.' You'll make me touch you and try to roboticize you.' That might make you blow up since you're a robot!" Sally told Tails.' Rotor snapped his fingers. "I can't believe I didn't think of this!' You're a roboticizer, right?" "Yeah..." "I could go into the microchip on your head and switch the positive and negative wires.' Then you'll be a deroboticizer.' Just make sure you do not touch me." Rotor pulled out a plyer.' He took out both wires and switched them around. Then he put them back in.' Rotor stood back. "Ok, Tails." Rotor said. "What's her name?" "Sally." Sally reached over and touched Tails.' Tails winced and there was a flash. The metal disentegrated leaving Tails all fur again.' Tails ran over and hugged Sally.' Sally hugged him back.' Sally suddenly heard a loud Sonic boom.' There were only two people on Mobius who could make that sound.' The first one was dead.' It had to be Blade.' Sally was more than a little shocked when she saw Sonic come flying around the corner.' Sally gasped. "Sonic?" Sally asked.' Sonic laughed. "Sal-ly?" Sonic asked sarcastically.' Sally reached out and touched him. A strange look came across Sonic's face. "What was that for?!" asked Sonic.' Sally explained all that happened. Then Tails added something they didn't know. "Robotnik added something on Bunnie and Antoine called..." Tails couldn't quite remember the word. "Moomoo." Sonic burst out laughing. "I knew Robotnik had delusions, but making Bunnie and Antoine sound like a cow isn't what I had in mind from `Warlord Julian'!" Sonic said sarcastically. "No, it's a control chip that over-rides any memories as soon as any are mentioned.' It shouldn't be a problem since Aunt Sally's a deroboticizer, right Sonic?" Tails said.' Sonic nodded. "Should we go look for them?" asked Sally.' Sonic smirked. "If Robotnik's running true to form, they'll find us any second now..." Sonic said. * * * Robotnik was watching the entire reunion from East Robotropolis.' Trying to roboticize Blade was a big mistake.' He lost the only bounty hunter on Mobius and gained his worst enemy again.' Now what could go wrong? "Sir, the hedgehog just deroboticized the rabbit and the coyote." Snively announced.' Robotnik stood up. "WHAT?!!!!"' screamed Robotnik.' Snively showed him the screen.' Robotnik's fist sailed into the control panel.' He had nearly perfected the new control system and now there was one error left in it, people could be deroboticized.' He could try one more approach.' At least he still had the rest of -- "Knothole has been fully deroboticized, they have taken down the main power supply in main Robotropolis and are about to deroboticize some of the previously roboticized people." Snively told Robotnik. "Send every swat-bot and stealth-bot after those furries!' Have them fry each one of them." Robotnik yelled.' The Freedom Fighters started to retreat. * * * "Well, that's the end of that!" said Sonic.' Sally sat next to him in a love seat in his hut. "See, it wasn't that easy to beat Robotnik without me, huh?" "We won a few times, but I'm still glad you're around.' Just don't be so arrogant about it, OK?" "I'll try not to, but I still will be." Sonic said smiling.' Rotor had disassembled the metal appendages, because they had a side-effect of poisoning the body.' Blade had already discovered that and had to get a special type of skin and blood in his body.' Of course, he was gone and everything was back to normal.... for the next week or so... The Return of Blade Out in the Great Unknown, where the opening to the Void thrived, a lone hand grasped the edge of the cliff.' Then another hand with a knife in it grasped the same ledge.' The person pulled himself up, revealing the horrid figure of Blade.' He looked out into the arid desert in deep hatred.' Everyone had betrayed him.' Even Robotnik.' Still, his own kind drove him crazy.' He couldn't stand Mobians.' After that trip to the Void from the roboticizer, he had his sites clear. First, he would destroy Knothole.' All of it's inhabitants and make them all suffer and die.' Then, he would destroy Robotnik.' They would all pay the price for being such control freaks.' Blade sped off at the speed of sound towards Knothole village... * * * Sonic was outside playing hockey with Tails.' He didn't play with him that much, and decided that he needed to spend more time with the little guy.' Sally walked out with food. "The chili dogs are ready!" Sally said.' Sonic ran over to the table with Tails.' Sonic and Tails scarfed them down and let out equally obnoxious belches. Sonic suddenly heard the alarm bell ring.' It rang once, then stopped.' Sonic was puzzled. "Hang on lil' bro, I'm gonna go check the watch tower." Sonic told Tails and ran off towards the watch tower.' When he got there, he saw the worst site of all: Antoine laid on the ground unconscious, with deep claw marks across his wrist.' Sonic looked around.' There was no one in site.' Not a single person. Sonic picked up Antoine and sped back to Knothole. * * * Sonic dashed into Sally's room.' Sally turned around startled. "Sonic!' Is there something wrong?" asked Sally.' Sonic ran out and ran back in with Antoine.' Sonic dropped him on the floor. "Does that look like something wrong?" asked Sonic.' Sally gasped. "Antoine!" "Well, that's what happens when we keep him on lookout." "Sonic, how did this happen?" "How should I know?' I wasn't even there!" "Looks like an animal of some sort attacked him." "Well, he rang the alarm just before it attacked him." "Why would he do that because of an animal?" "Why does he do all the other wierd stuff he does?" "Good point." Antoine just layed there unconscious.' Sonic shook his head. "I'm gonna go back and retake his post.' We both know an animal couldn't take me down." "Alright, Sonic.' Please be care-" It was too late, Sonic had already left and was heading to the watchout tower.' Of course, he had no idea what kind of surprise he was going to get... * * * Blade had been sittinig in the bushes.' He hadn't planned on Sonic checking out the scene when the bell rang only once.' Now he had to come up with a better plan.' From what he briefly heard from Robotnik, Sonic was as annoying as hell.' He would be the first thing to take care of... but how would he do it? Blade searched his inventory and came across something he never knew he had.' A personality altering machine.' Blade smiled.' This machine was capable of making Sonic an extremely small threat.' Blade saw Sonic run into the clearing.' Blade set the machine.' He changed the personality to match that of Sally's.' He used the machine, and a ray flew out and would've hit Sonic.' Sonic, however, just happened to move away, where the ray hit the alarm.' The alarm sounded off and the ray dispersed in all different directions, missing Sonic completely.' Blade threw the machine down and ran after Sonic.' He pulled out a strange looking gun. Sonic spun around after hearing the alarm. "Who the hell are you?!" asked Sonic surprised.' Blade smiled. "Your executioner." he said and pulled the trigger.' A beam flew out. Sonic jumped out of the way.' The beam hit the bell again, ricocheting and hitting many things: one of them being Sonic.' Sonic fell down startled, but not injured in any way.' Blade destroyed the gun. "Crap!!! Why can't I get the right gun?!" Blade asked himself.' Blade shot at Sonic, but Sonic just jumped out of the way. "You may be fast with the gun, but I'm faster on my feet!" Sonic told him. Blade laughed. "Thanks for the tip, Sonic!" Blade said.' Sonic was surprised. "How do you know my name?" asked Sonic.' Blade was in no mood for talking. Blade jumped, there was a black flash and Blade crashed into Sonic with a kick in the stomach.' Of course, this normally wouldn't be a problem, but Blade did this at a blinding speed of Mach 2.' Sonic could only achieve this speed with a power ring.' Sonic went crashing through a tree, two huts and finally skidded to a halt at the other end of Knothole.' Sonic, to say the least, had a big ouchie... Blade's Weapon That He Didn't Want to Use NOTE: This chapter is a little more graphic with the violence.' You may want to skip part of it. *** means you can start reading again. Sally had seen a fiery something go flying by her window.' She ran out and saw it land on the other side of the forest.' When she got there, she saw an extremely hurt Sonic.' Sonic was bleeding all over with a case of road rash that would make you shudder.' Pebbles were inbedded all over him and he had many third degree burns.' The worst part, however, was the blood.' It flowed from everywhere. His nose, ears, mouth, chest, arms, legs, hands, feet, head, etc. were covered with quick flowing blood.' Sally screamed.' She ran back to the hospital to get assistance. * * *(you can start reading) The doctor walked out of the hospital room.' She stared at him in anxious apprehension.' The doctor shook his head back and forth. "He's dead again." said the doctor.' Sally burst to tears.' The doctor laughed and patted her on the back. "I was just kidding!' He's gonna be fine, princess!' He'll just need a couple days of rest to recover.' We've already fixed up his wounds and stopped any scars from hap-" the doctor fell to the ground in pain because Sally bitch slapped him so hard, it probably hurt his whole family.' Of course, the rest of his family was under Robotnik's control, so it didn't really matter.' Sally walked into the room where Sonic was.' He looked like he was in a lot better shape now.' Sonic stirred in his sleep.' For the first time since being hit, Sonic opened his eyes. Sally gasped.' Sonic had a worried expression on his face. "S-Sal?' Watttszz wrong?" asked Sonic wearily.' Sally pointed at his eyes. "Sonic, your eyes are green around the pupils." "Really? Why?" "I don't know... but how did you get beat up so bad?" Sonic snapped back to his senses. "That stupid black hedgehog!' He tried to kill me!" "Black hedgehog?" "Yeah, and he had metal pieces on him like you used to!" "That was Blade!' That's impossible!" "Why?" "The reports said that he made himself self-destruct.' You appeared in his place.' He should be dead Sonic, but he obviously isn't." "Well, I got lucky.' He shot some weapon at me, and it hit me.' It didn't have any effect, however." "I'm glad to hear you're okay..." "I'm glad I'm okay too, Sal..." * * * Blade looke through his weapons.' What the hell did he use on Sonic to begin with?' A broken ray gun?' Blade finally came upon the missing item.' It was called the Deep Power Stone Tuner.' If used on another stone, it would tune the stone's frequency to match that of the deep power stone's.' This would make another usable deep power stone.' Instead, that machine hit Sonic...' Blade finally figured it out.' The machine would now tune Sonic's frequency to that of the deep power stone's making him even harder to beat.' The energy inside of the deep power stone was called chaotic energy.' It was pretty much a perpetual energy machine. An endless supply of energy that glowed green.' Of course, inside the stones, it glowed clear.' That didn't matter, however.' Sonic was probably still pretty screwed over from the attack.' Blade stood up and took out a new weapon.' A weapon even Robotnik had.' A weapon called the Mind Scrambler. * * * Bunnie was reading a book.' There hadn't been any action for the past few days and she thought that it would be a good time for a little recreation.' She heard a knock at her door.' Bunnie opened the door and saw Blade.' Blade laughed. "You!" Bunnie screamed. "Me!" Blade said and shot the Mind Scrambler at her.' She stared at him blankly.' Blade read the results and laughed. "100% memory loss!' This has never happened before!' She'll be clueless for weeks!" Blade said in joy.' Bunnie looked around. "Who am I?" she asked.' Blade smiled. "You're my top agent.' We work together on destroying the Knothole Freedom Fighters.' We must get to the hospital as fast as possible.' We need to kill Sonic the Hedgehog and the Princess." "Alright!' Let's go get `em!" Bunnie said and ran after Blade. * * * Sonic got out of bed.' He and Sally left the hospital, when Bunnie ran up to them. "Sonic, Princess!' Come quick!" Bunnie yelled.' Sonic looked at her strange.' She wasn't talking with her usual accent.' It was somewhat the same, but not quite.' Sonic and Sally followed her. "Whatdya need Bunnie?" asked Sonic.' Bunnie grinned evily. "To roboticize you." she replied.' A tube fell over Sonic and the machine turned on.' Sonic could feel the metal plates forming over his body.' Sonic thought he was goner when all of a sudden, he felt something different.' The metal plates started falling off and the tube around him exploded in a green flash.' Sonic ran over and picked up Bunnie and held her against the wall.' Bunnie stared at him terrified. "What the hoo-hah are you doin' Sugah-hog?" asked Bunnie.' Sonic wasn't smiling. "And why are your eyes all weird lookin'?" she asked.' Sonic let her down. Bunnie dusted herself off.' Sonic responded to her questions. "You just tried to roboticize me and I don't know why my eyes are green!" Sonic said angrily.' Sonic felt himself get hit again.' He flew into Sally and fell to the ground. "She didn't roboticize you on purpose.' I scrambled her memory and tricked her into helping me.' Now you're more powerful than ever since I hit you with that weap--" Blade stopped realizing he had made a mistake.' Sonic stood up. "Oh really?' What happened?" Sonic asked him.' Blade stood back. "You're being tuned in to the frequency of the deep power stones.' Now you posess their powers.' Let me go in piece!" Blade yelled.' Sonic smiled. "Oh, I'm not doing that little man.' I owe you one."' Sonic flashed in green light and crashed into Blade at an incredible Mach 5.' Blade went flying into the air and disappeared into the distance.' All of a sudden Sonic felt this weird feeling.' Sonic looked at his shoes and watched them and his legs turn into a strange green crystal.' Something was definately not right.' Not to mention this new feeling in his head.' A feeling of power and arrogance.' A feeling that he should take over the world... From Flesh to Deep Power Stone Sonic and Sally sat in Sally's hut.' Sonic looked at his feet while Rotor performed some tests.' Rotor looked at some papers and then turned to Sonic. "Well Sonic, it seems that the faster you go, the faster you turn into a deep power stone.' The other problem is that the deep power stone takes over your mind.' It has some pretty chaotic energy in it, so it will make you do some pretty crazy things if you're not careful.' If you go at Mach 5 one more time for a period of one second, you'll become a deep power stone.' At your normal speed, the transformation will take place exponentially. One cell a second, two cells a second, four cells a second, etc.' I'd advise not running until I can find a way to reverse the process." Rotor told Sonic. Sonic stared at his legs and jumped off Sally's bed. "You know I gotta move, Rote!" Sonic complained. "I can't be slow for a week!" "Then your soul will be possesed by the deep power stone." "On second thought, maybe I'll try to do what you said!" Sonic walked out of the bedroom. * * * Blade was back in the Great Unknown.' That wallop Sonic gave him would have killed him if he didn't have biotic implants.' This settled it.' These guys couldn't be beat by espionage.' The only way would be brute force.' Blade started running.' He needed to find a way to give it to them.' Blade came across a large crater.' In the center were about three nuclear warheads.' Blade remembered the bombs Robotnik launced at Knothole.' Obviously, Robotnik got the wrong coordinates. Blade picked up one of the one ton missles.' He ran towards Knothole... * * * Sonic was laying in his bed listening to music.' It really sucked that he couldn't run.' He had to be up and running all the time.' He couldn't stop for an entire week!' Maybe he could kill all-- how did that idea get in his head?!' Sonic knew that the chaotic energy was surging inside of him and that if he ran again, it might be his undoing.' All of a sudden, Sonic felt himself flying away in a burst of intense heat.' He quickly used some of his energy and put up a barrier.' The flames stopped and Sonic stopped also, revealing a giant crater where Knothole used to be.' Sonic searched around. WARNING!!! EXTREME GRAPHIC VIOLENCE AHEAD!' IT ENDS AT THE ****** On the ground he saw incinerated bodies, nothing but a little flesh and muscle and a bones.' Most of them were more complete however, with extreme third degree burns, burnt muscle and blood.' Sonic noticed one of these people quickly.' It was Sally. She was in better shape than most of the dead bodies, she had bad third degree burns all over the front of her body.' Blood dribbled from all over her body.' Her head was split open, with the brain just barely visible.' Sally moved and opened her eyes.' Sonic gasped. ****** "Sally!" Sonic cried.' Sally spoke softly and slowly. "Sonic." she said. "Rotor... found out.... that you... can time travel... also..." "It's okay Sal, you'll be just fine.' I'll get you outta here."' Sally ignored him and continued. "All... you.... ''''have..... to... do... is............ fo.... cus......." Sally said and died right in front of Sonic. MORE GRAPHIC STUFF.' LOOK FOR THE ****** TO CONTINUE A laser blaster hit Sally's corpse, causing the brain and body to explode, covering Sonic with her blood and internal organs.' Sonic stared horrified.' He finally grew extremely angry.' Hate filled him to the brim ****** Sonic looked up and saw Blade floating in the air.' Blade laughed evily. "Well, Sonic.' Looks like you're the only one left to dispose of." Blade said. "I've won anyway.' Even if you do beat me, your entire resistance is gone.' Your one true love scattered all over the place." "You've beat me now, but you haven't beat me 10 minutes ago." "What do you mean?" "You didn't kill Sally in time.' She told me how to do one more thing." "What's that?" "Time travel and I'll start by going back and keeping you from destroying Knothole." "How can you stop me if you don't even know where I am in the past?' You won't know until it's too late!" "Not if you tell me!" "I won't talk unless you make me." "So be it." Sonic said and floated into the air. Sonic Vs. Blade from the Present and the Past Blade shot lasers at Sonic.' Sonic was caught off guard and got shot through the left arm.' Sonic's wound automatically healed.' Blade's eyes got wide.' Blade dashed around and punched Sonic in the back.' Sonic spun around and grabbed Blade and threw him into the ground.' Blade put his thrusters on and stopped.' There was a white flash and Blade crashed into Sonic at Mach 3.' Sonic flew away until Sonic turned around and pulled the same move on him at Mach 5.' Blade crashed into the ground, destroying a few bodies and making a trench 10 feet long. Crystal crackled across Sonic's arms and body.' His head was still flesh.' Sonic grabbed Blade and spoke in an unusually deep echoing voice. "Where did you land when I tried to destroy you earlier?" asked Sonic.' Blade looked at him in fright. "The Great Unknown." Blade told him. 'Sonic smiled and burned Blade alive with chaotic power until his brains exploded and his bones turned to ash.' Sonic focused on twenty-five minutes earlier.' He appeared in a complete Knothole again. He focused on the Great Unknown.' Just as he expected, he appeared there.' He ran at top speed and searched the entire Great Unknown.' He finally found Blade as he was about to take one of the nuclear warheads.' Sonic's left ear turned to crystal.' Sonic ran over and socked Blade in the face.' Blade went soaring across the scenery.' The bomb fell and exploded.' It didn't matter, Sonic wasn't effected and Blade was so far away, he wasn't either.' Blade regained control and tried to get to Knothole.' He would just blow it up with his own weapons.' Sonic followed him in the air.' Sonic shot a bolt of chaotic energy at him.' It hit Blade and he went flying into the ground.' Sonic flew after him and pinned him to the ground. Sonic's right ear and part of his eye crystallized. "Okay Blade.' Tell me how to reverse this process or I will turn you into re-arranged bunch of flesh, pulp, and blood.' If you can't, I'll still kill you." Sonic said in an even deeper echoing voice.' Blade was terrified. "I'm almost totally consumed by the deep power stones.' That's why I'm so violent and evil.' That's why you will suffer a painful, unnatural death unless you turn me back!!!!" Sonic yelled into Blade's face.' Sonic unpinned Blade.' Blade pulled out a similar gun to the first one and changed a setting and shot Sonic.' The crystal on Sonic started to disappear.' Blade laughed. "Now that you're normal, I've got a village to destroy!" yelled Blade and took off back to the Great Unknown. * * * Sonic arrived back in Knothole in a couple seconds.' He ran to get Sally. He told Sally about everything that happened and how Blade was about to return to turn Knothole into a nuclear wasteland.' Sally nodded and called a meeting of all the citizens of Knothole. "Members of Knothole, a single, cyborg-like entity has threatened to destroy our village and fight for freedom.' This person, known as Blade must be stopped.' We must all don our armor and our wits to defeat this powerful foe. Everyone is important and everyone must try there best.' We must fight until we prevail or die trying." Sally announced.' Everyone cheered and started gathering together weapons.' Rotor outfitted Bunnie with new weapons for attacking with. Rotor also created some metal eating baloons to use.' Sonic sat around doing nothing, confident he was unbeatable.' Sally brought out a crudely made Katana and Antoine took out his father's battle sword.' Everyone was prepared. "Come on, we've got a war to win." Sonic said and they marched off towards the Great Unknown. * * * Blade finally got another bomb.' He tried taking off, but was unable to. His boosters were out of fuel.' It didn't matter, he could run back.' Blade sped at Mach 2 towards Knothole when all of a sudden, he felt the missle disappear from his hands.' Vapor floated from it's place.' In front of him stood Rotor with a stockpile of metal eating balloons.' Sonic smiled. "Ready guys?' Let `im have it!!!" Sonic yelled.' Blade turned around and sped the other direction into the Great Unknown.' He picked up one more missle. There were about thirteen left.' He had enough to stop them.' He'd just throw the missle at them when they got near him.' All of a sudden he felt someone tap him on the back.' It was Sonic. "Hey Blade!' I got you a present!' It's called the metal eating balloon!" Sonic said and threw it and Blade.' Blade laughed. "You missed the missle fool!' Now you will be destroyed!" Blade announced. Blade's biological attachments were disentegrating. "Wrong Blade, I fried your super enhancing attachments.' I'll be amazed if you can hold that thing in the air for another three seconds." Sonic announced.' Blade's eyes went wide.' Sonic ran off and started circling back. Blade winced to hold it up, but finally dropped it.' Sonic jumped at Blade. The missle exploded. Now on Mobius, there are slighlty different laws of physics than earth. It so happened that there were twelve other missles and the one that fell made thirteen that exploded in a chain reaction.' Whenever a thirteen megaton explosion occurs, it throws anyone in a five foot radius of ground zero into another dimension.' A dimension similar to what they are in, except there are no laws of physics, and there is no time.' So Sonic and Blade both drifted into this dimension... "Here we are Blade.' One on one, no laws of physics and no way to best me with your metal things.' This is it." Sonic said.' Blade smiled and floated into the air.' He dashed down through the ground and kicked Sonic in the back.' Sonic flew backwards and was caught by himself in mid-air.' Sonic flew toward Blade at incredible speed.' With no laws of physics, there is no limit to speed.' Sonic hit Blade going at a max speed of 50 times the speed of light.' Sonic went through Blade.' Blade just stood there.' A green light circled around him and he disappeared. 'Sonic was immediately returned to normal reality, giving him very little time to out run the nuclear explosion.' Sonic ran as fast as he could. The explosion knocked him off his feet and he went soaring into his... bed?' Sonic stared at the ceiling. Not a Dream Sonic stood up and walked out of the room.' He walked over to Sally's hut and knocked on the door.' Sally came to the door. "Sonic!' You're okay!" Sally said.' Sonic had a strange expression on his face. "I remember flying through the air and then I found myself staring at the top of my hut.' What happened?" Sonic asked.' Sally laughed. "You're lucky.' I know what you're talking about.' When you defeated Blade, you wiped him from existance.' What happened in the past few days never really happened." Sally told him. "How can you remember it then?" asked Sonic.' Sally smiled. "Because you wouldn't know what happened if I didn't.' God willed it.' Not all evidence of Blade is gone either.' The items he left behind are still here even though he never existed.' Why?' Because that's the way god works and god works in mysterious ways." Sally told Sonic.' They both walked outside.' Sonic stared at the stars in the sky and smiled. "He sure does." Sonic said and watched a star shoot through the sky.' Another war was won, even though it never happened.' Sonic just stared at the sky.'
