When I first learned of Ben’s death I decided to scrap this weeks update. I asked Salamander if she could do up a nice memorial picture for it and.. This is what I got. In the last few days she actually painted this on canvas, this is why its a bit late. Normally just a comic page takes a week for her to do.. So a painting in 3 days is just amazing.

Sorry for the canned comic this week. Myself and the staff just figured that this would be a proper tribute. Seeing as Sea3on is based off of what information we got from Ben.
Anyways we shall see you next week when Tails dies. As always, thanks for sharing your time with us.

Certainly worth it to delay the next comic, I won’t say that I’m not excited for the cliffhanger to end but I love this honor to him.

Hey, wait a sec, I though someone said that Dulcy was DEAD! And yet she’s still there with all the others, mourning Ben Hurst!
Of course, that DOES look kind of small for Dulce…
Its her. Ben was mostly a writer in S2 of the show. Dulcy was only in S2 so.. I asked to have her put in as well. Just don’t expect to see her in the comic.
I’m glad to see Tails is alive and well. Now I can put my fears to rest. Farewell, Ben Hurst. Your legacy lives on in us.
It sure is weird to see Robotnik standing wistfully with the Freedom Fighters. But in a way, it’s touching. I love Naugus’ eyes glowing from his shadow. That’s really inspired.

I like how everyone is together too, kind of like how the community has banded together over this. I’m trying to be strong but the last few days have been rough. But seeing all this is really helping me carry on. So thanks so much guys. I’m sure Ben appreciates it, wherever he is.

This is a very nice picture. I think it appropriate that all the characters, hero and villain, are present. (are those red eyes below Robotnik or just effects?) Honestly I think Mr. Hurst would have been quite touched to see this. Here’s hoping that somewhere he is getting to see it.

Ryan, if you’re trying to make the other person sound immature, I’d recommend that you don’t use the F-word TWICE in attacking said person. Really. Doing so doesn’t help your image and makes me sympathize more with your “opponent.”

Chill out…really. There wouldn’t even be this comic if it weren’t for Ben, so this is totally appropriate even if you don’t care. Clearly, everyone else here does; what you want is not more important than the rest of us.

Sonicblur.. I don’t take well to threats. You say one more stupid thing or even dare touch the board with your crap I will ban you. And guess what? I can IP ban you from the server so you can’t even access the site. That means the board, Sea3on, and so on. So come on. Try it. I don;t care if we loose a fan. Especially if that fan is a annoying twat like you are being. Putting out a comic isn’t easy, its not a fast simple process. A lot of works goes into each page. So we did a painting this week for Ben, also a lot of work. And seeing as how its thanks to the things he told FUS about the plans for Season 3.. Its fitting. So come on. Be more of a annoying twat. look who is ben hurst and why is he so important?
Ben Hurst was one of the writers for SatAM, and the main writer for Season 2. He is also the one who shared all of the information about what they were planning for season 3. Ben also took part in multiple community chats through IRC, did plenty of interviews and so on. It is with his information that we are even doing a Sea3on comic. There for, we did a nice thing to remember him by in here. Giving out thanks.
Ben is also important to FUS because the first owner of the site was quite close to him. They would talk on the phone with each other and so on. So without Ben telling us stuff and being as nice as he was.. You wouldn’t see this comic.
Besides, even if you didn’t know this information you are still a disrespectful twat. You don’t pay to see sea3on. Its a free web comic we put up. There for you have no right to complain when we do something like this. Perhaps I’ll just put in a random filler in next Friday? That seems like a good idea doesn’t it? Maybe let you cool down a bit.

im not trying to start a fight again just saying @sonicblur you got PWNED big time. and i’m kind of new to the site even though i’ve bin a huge sonic fan all my life and yes that includes satam. but all i’m trying to say is i’ll always respect you Paul,Salamander or whoever takes part in the comic,and site. i’ll respect anyone that does hard work to entertain other’s like Ben hurst RIP man you were a……….. i don’t even know what to say SNIFF. it’s just not right losing a awesome person.

Hey paul, i have to ask this, what program did you make this with, the art is amazing! we done, a lot of effort must of been put into this. Ben would be proud.
This particular one Salamander actually painted this on canvas. Later she just took a picture of it with a camera and photo shopped the words into place. Took her 3 evenings to fully finish it off.
With all the other art its done kinda similar. She draws out everything first on paper. Then its scanned, put into photo shop, and thats where she inks and colours. The backgrounds are drawn in separately on paper as well, then just inserted.
I’m just trying to remember how she told me she created them. We talked about it a few months ago so I could be missing a step or two.
Very appropriate. When someone important dies, especially one who helped bring about Season 3 ideas, it is REQUIRED to pay respect. I was expecting a comic page when I logged on, but this is just as good and it is fitting. Sunlight is shining for the first time in Robotropolis and everyone is like they are paying respect to the passing of their creator. A brilliant piece of artwork for a brilliant writer. RIP Ben. May someday SATAM be brought back to our TV’s for us to enjoy. And when it does, we will think of you.

Why do you have to field queries anyway? Salamander does all the art, yet she’s never seen on FUS these days. What’s up with that?
Oh she is still on FUS, she just doesn’t post much. Never has. And Ive always been the front man for Sea3on and FUS related stuff when it comes to the public.
Salamander is on FUS a few times a day. Not as much as before because she now works full time, but she is still on.
I hope nobody thinks that I’m a ghoul but when did Ben pass away?
