“Stephen, where the hell’s the comic? It’s been a month, say something!”
First up, I’m really sorry about this massive delay.
I’m sure you guys love excuses, so strap your belts on and get ready for this.
For the past 7 weeks, I’ve been buried under school work. Yeah, lame excuse, I know. I don’t have many classes, but oh boy has things been tough this Spring.
Here’s how it goes, one class has a weekly drawing assignment to capture movement in a character or object. Each assignment usually requires 30 drawings, cleaned up, scanned, and labled (the last assignment was 50).
When I’m not doing that, I’m putting together a portfolio. This includes putting a simple website together, making a resume, creating buisness cards and printing them, presenting some of your best artwork and creating a demo real to present after it’s all said and done.
When I’m not doing that, I’m drawing the comic.
Lets just say, drawing gets a bit tiring after a while…
I’m working to get this next page done, but the next week and a half, I have to get as much done as I can for finals (If I vanish a while after uploading this long awaited page, you can bet I’ll be fighting the terror known as finals week). I have a bunch of stuff I’ve been meaning to put up to at least show you guys what’s been keeping me, but with all this stuff going on, I just never got around to it, same reason I didn’t get to explaining myself until now. I thought I could keep everything under control, but in no time, everything just crashed down on me.
Though, an upside.
This summer, I’m taking a break from school. In that time, I’ll work on making up for the past month.
I’ll catch you guys later. Once schools done for today, I’ll get back to the page and finally get back on track.

Looks like I’m not the only one who has disconnected from the net in the last few months. Good luck with finals week coming up…I know how crazy that week can be.

I’d be lying if I said the lack of updates wasn’t somewhat frustrating. That said, I certainly understand how insane college tends to be, especially during the final stretch of the semester.
In the long run, the comic is better off because you’re willing to delay it when necessary. I’d hate for you to get burnt out the way Salamander did. Moreover, all the drawing you’ve been doing for courses definitely shows in the comic. I’m very, very excited to see how things look by the time this flashback ends and you start working with traditional color again.
We’re all in this for the long haul, and in the end this batch of delays means little. I doubt any of us will give them a second thought once pages start coming out at a weekly rate again.

Wow, that sure is a lot of drawing. o.o You sound busy, that’s for sure.
But trust us, we can wait. 🙂 Try not to feel TOO guilty, haha. 😛
You have been doing a phenomenal job with the comic. But the real world comes first. We can all patiently wait a bit longer for more comic while the real world comes tearing down on your time and sanity 🙂 Thank you for all you’ve put into Sonic so far.
School work is important bro. We have been waiting patently and we can wait longer. At least you didnt blame it on me this time :p

I think we all understand. We get to enjoy this comic for free, so the extra wait is no biggie. Just concentrate on getting though finals and don’t stress too hard!!!!

It’s no biggie to me about the long wait, education’s top priority. Alot of people seem to understand what you’re going through, i’ve never had college finals, just the ones in high school years ago. Kinda similiar but what you’re going through is far more advanced haha. Thanks for letting everyone know your whole plight, and like Netsuye said, it’s worth the wait.
