I love being sick.
That’s a lie. Being sick makes things suck. I feel better, but I’m just worn out mainly due to a severely screwed up sleep schedule, I got this sucker colored, and – hey, turns out there are two Dirk’s in Satam. I thought it was screw up, but no… turns out we have two Dirk’s.
Though, the transcript got his name wrong in his only appearance. “Gir”? Well, someone obviously screwed up. Who’s the idiot who-
… oh.

W00t. Another page. Surprised more didn’t agree with Dirk.
These characters were never meant to be in the same area, you’ve caused a paradox!
Good to see a new page! Also neat to see the other Dirk make his first appearance. Wonder if there will be confusion within the gang having two guys named Dirk…
You know, it happens. There’s times when you find someone else has your name. There’s always ways to identify one person from another with the same name. I’m betting someone’s gonna end up being Dirk 2. *coughtheboarcough*
I don’t know whether I should be happy or freaked out the SWATbots are coming. On the one hand, it’s put a stop to the whole debate on who should be leading the fight against Snively. On the other hand, they have even bigger problems.
Invaders huh, Wonder who could that be. (Sarcasm for the win)
You know what I just realized? The rhino is actually right. Back in “Blast to the Past” Sonic botched the time travel by getting distracted over food, bringing him and Sally to the day of Robotnik’s coup, not the week before like Sally planned. In a way, the war is partially Sonic’s fault.
Additionally, while bringing Sonic along made the most sense, on paper, because of how close Uncle Chuck and the King were back then, Sally could’ve taken Rotor or Antoine along and the plan could’ve worked without a hitch. That or she take the time to impress upon Sonic the consequences should they screw up the time travel.
@T
Yeah, but Dirk would have no way of knowing that. I seriously doubt they advertised that they tried this.
@SBaby
Actually… if you think about that…. if he DID have such knowledge, that fact alone would be quite telling.
Since the only people who would know would be Sonic, Sally, their Nanny Rosie… and, of course: Robotnik and Snively… X3 Since the Freedom Fighters and their affiliates would be loathe to divulge such information, the remaining sources paint a whole new picture, aye? X3
@Kage
Assuming of course that Snively and Robotnik even remembered that day well enough to realize that Sonic and Sally somehow traveled back in time-to them the two were just a random pair that Sonic and Sally decided to emulate when they grew up. And Rosie only knew that they jumped back, not how they did it.
@T
True enough; I’m reminded of that dialogue from part 2:
“Who are you?”
“Someone you’re gonna learn to hate, Robuttnik.”
“I -already- hate you!”
One would think ‘ol Robo-butt would entertain the possibility of Time Travel; but, then again, the emulation idea makes a lot of sense, as Sonic and Sally saved -themselves- while the Rotund Megalomaniac watched. X3
@Kage Kitsune
That is actually a pretty good point. If he does mention it without being told about it by Sonic or Sally, it almost wouldn’t make sense if it wasn’t because of Snively or Robotnik that he knew about it.
So what. There are two Dirks.
Its a common name.
If this were a crossover fic with Dragon’s Lair, then we could also have Dirk the Daring at this meeting after he fell through a dimensional wormhole and joined the Freedom Fighters defeat evil.
If there is a change in leadership who would you choose to be the new freedom fighter leader and why. Cause I would choose Sonic cause he’s been with Sally ever since they established the freedom fighters and he can trust her……well kinda.
