Not saying that the story is predictable, but I believe I can pretty much tell what’s coming next. Their infighting will pretty much lead to Naugus sabotaging the resonatrix and pissing off snively royally, letting the freedom fighters off the hook. I doubt there’s much anything the FF can do on their end to stop the Resonatrix from wreaking havoc, so the best chance they have is for those two to have it out with eachother over the matter.
