Is her name pronounced how it seems, or like the character from Resident Evil 6?
She looks really cool! There were not a whole lot of bird characters in SatAM, apart from that time stones-owl. Oh, and I almost forgot Cluck. 😀
Been enjoying these model sheets a lot, will there be more? 🙂

Negative Nancy here again. I’ve noticed her way before this character model, and outright didn’t like her. Now that I can get a good look at her, I see that my dislike for the character was well conceived. Her color scheme is fine, but her appearance makes her personality seem obvious – and if it isn’t, that’s even worse! She looks like her motto is the same of that of Sudeki’s final boss – “I weep for no one, and no one weeps for me”
Hey, this looks pretty good, though I am half and half on if the beak should be shortened. I ask the moderators, writers, anyone to view my comment on the page with Bunnie Rabbot, it concerns the character drawings of Sally and Bunnie.
Hey, dudes. I’ve been reading all the comments and I seriously appreciate all the feedback. I’ll digest it and we’ll see what comes out of it. I think, mainly, I’m reconsidering Sally’s belly button. That’s just the way I’ve always drawn her, didn’t think much of it. Sorry if some were put off by it.
Let me address Helena specifically.
Uncle Chuck: She’s a hummingbird. *shrug* Blame genetics for that. XD If you want her to look more cute, I strongly disagree. Helena is not one of the cute ones and I actually really like that about her. She’s very different.
Ramirez: You’re close on her usual personality, but rest assure you’ve only scratched the surface. What you said is an expected interpretation, par design. There’s much more to this bird than meets the eye. She has a whole backstory we developed I hope we get to tell one day.

Sally is the only character that you’ve drawn with a belly button. It’s inconsistent if nothing else. I don’t think it’s needed but I’d either add it to all of the characters where it isn’t hidden under clothes or none of them. Bunny may be an exception given her “condition” 🙂

“Check their privilege”? And what “privilege” is that? Me and others having opinions about the depictions of female characters? And somehow, negative opinions = overly-sensitive offense? Isn’t that you above doing exactly the same, saying you don’t like Helena’s seemingly aggressive design/personality? Are you “offended” by Helena’s design/personality?

Helena: It’s PURPLE!
Rotor: Ok… And what does it do differently?
Helena: It glows… PURPLE!
I have to say, I really like Helena’s design. She’s different like the other new characters, but like them she still has that SatAM feel to her with the facial design. And that’s hard to do with original characters.

It kind of bothers me that her wings are on her back while Gavin’s are on his arms…
Kenny: There’s two reasons for this.
1: They have different flying styles. Gavin glides and flaps his wings. Helena hovers. Think of Gavin as an airplane and Helena as a drone. This makes Helena a much more deadly aviator.
2: Sonic cartoons switches between back and arms often. Rouge has her wings on her back, the owl in Sonic OVA has it on his hands, the Sonic Riders birds don’t even have wings…It depends on the character. Sonic characters are beautiful in their variety.
And you’re beautiful in your beautifulness Tim.
