Alright so we start off with the short. Bunnie is really into polishing her metal arm! Thats actually what this short is about. Bunnie teaches you how to polish properly. Its kinda like a how to manual, just with Bunnie.
So, art is done by Glitcher, the guy who some of you want to beat up for always saying the cloaked figure is Rotor (cloaked guy is Rotor just wearing a knuckles mask..So..He is right). Who wrote this? Mystery man! Nah, Jim Doe wrote this, same guy who wrote the first short. However due to a falling out he wanted nothing to do with this, or his name in here.. But too damn bad! So everyone please thank Jim for making a wonderful How to polish manual.
I know Ive said this before but because we get new people every week I’ll say it again. The short will update every Monday and Friday. I could set it to update at midnight because I have all the strips, But I figure setting the updates to random parts of each day is more fun. For example this one is set to publish at 11am tomorrow morning my time. I say set to publish because I’m writing all of this Thursday at 3:50pm. Although I’ll probably update most of them at midnight.. I really just wanted to have that last page be on the front for more then a day.
Soo… Nothing else to report on my end. Friday (today) at 7PM PST we will be doing another live commentary of a SatAM episode. *nervous chuckle* My reputation precedes me, it seems. *looks anxiously left and right*
I’m sorry to say the history between me and Jim Doe is true. We started off on good terms, sharing ideas, discussing plot points, holding hands. But when I showed him a rough draft of the comic, he was stunned by the sheer magnificence of the artwork. Never before had he imagined his work could be adapted into the quintessence of beauty, and suddenly he felt unworthy to don his name upon it. I begged him to stay, but he said lo, “Nay! Thy art is too mighty! Thou shalt carry the honour alone upon thy tight ass.” And with that he disappeared into the night to rejoin the land of wind and ghosts.
I love the lighting! Random, I know, but it’s awesome! Really give so much depth
Funny…. so do we honor Glitcher for his awesome art work or hang him for wanting Knuckles to be Rotor I’m so confused…. I do have to say i’m leaning on honoring since the artwork is so badass.
I like shorts but for some reason i can’t get distracted from the comic

At first I had my doubts about the bonus strips having different artists than the main comic, but now I’m completely sure it’s a good idea. The art is fantastic, congratulations Glitcher!
About the writing, I think I’m going to wait for the second or third page to have an opinion, because I don’t like judging by first impressions. However, my first impression is very good 🙂
Off-topic, are there any plans to include a deeper Robotnik’s backstory in this comic? I’ve read a rumor about what it would have been revealed about ol’ Ivo in season 3 (but I don’t know if it’s true) and I didn’t like it. One of the few things I like about Archie continuity is how the history of Earth and Mobius connect, and Robotnik’s story with all the Overlander stuff.
I like Archie’s Robotnic backstory too. I’d like to see some humans on this Mobius otherwise Lazar will be a major plot hole

…Wow. Who thought Glitcher could draw like this… You deserve at least a little admiration…

If it was a closet, there would be clothes in it. Bunnie’s just waiting in a cabin until… whoops! Nearly gave away the ending.
I’m really happy with the feedback so far. There’s a lot more going on with this comic than meets the eye. The cabin-cum-closet RedAuthar pointed out is made to resemble a confessional, and Bunnie’s pose suggests she’s praying for what happens next. There’s a religious theme that purveys this story, which is further emphasized by the halo effect created by the light in the fourth panel. The seam on Bunnie’s metal arm, which is normally closer to her wrist, was moved further up to divide her reflection, symbolising her two halves. Reflections are another important motif in this comic, and I’ll explain more about it as the story progresses. These elements were my own device to flesh out the story with visual cues, but I guess some of the changes to the script scandalized Jim Doe, which is why he left. Anyway, keep an eye on the comments for further commentary on the underlying themes I used to adapt Jim’s script in comic form.

Are they trying the de-roboticizer again? I hope Sally fixed it so the end results are permanent
