Okay so thats it for the second short, Me and My Shadow. Not bad eh? Personally I preferred suicidal Sonic but you can’t always get your way. Psychotic Bunnie was good non the less.
News? I wish. Been waiting for a email to confirm some stuff before I announce it. But guess what? Still haven’t gotten it. Son of a bitch eh?

This seems to be an appropiate end to a great chapter.
I really like the sunset in this one, most online comics dont get them right.
and I hope that others who have not known about Bens work will come to known it in the comming years, as I have this year.

Aside from the gorgeous atmosphere, itself, I really like the (somewhat) subtle details. In particular, I think the inky border and weathered texture make it look especially epic.

this is just beautiful…. *starts to cry a bit* sorry but it is, i expected it to end with uncle chuck and bunnie talking but this is better… i would send my guest comic that i do when i’m board but i have two reasons why i don’t want to, 1:it’ll probley suck to you guys and 2: i can’t draw so instead i had to use sprits besides i think it’s supose to be satam related and mine dosen’t deal with robotnick or the old freedom fighters. i couuldn’t find any sally sprits or any others.

Honestly.. the comic can be satam related, Sea3on related, or FUS related. Hell make a comic making fun of the staff, its all good.

Speaking of art: I might have to try and make a comic, if for no other reason than to make everyone else feel better about their artistic talent… It won’t exactly be thrown together. I just plain suck at drawing. I do have an idea, and if nothing else, it’ll prove that I can laugh at myself…

Actually.. In all honesty its not bad for someone as old as you. Ad your sprite skills are decent as well. Hell, a lot better then anything I could pull off as far as the sprites etc are concerned. I know Glitcher doesn’t like sprite comics etc etc but ignore him. I find if they are done good they can still be funny.
Also I know thats just 1 page of what looks like a ongoing comic for you. Not a single paged joke thing, but its still good, still has a few jokes in it and could run for Guest Week. If you ever do decide to go full out in any given comic area I could help you advertise it a bit on here.
As for Vlad. Come on buddy, you know you want to make a comic!

Thanks for all your compliments, everyone. Admitedly, the only thing I painted by hand was the foreground and skyline; the rest of the image is an elaborate texture collage. I’ve seen other artists paint with textures before, but I’ve never tried it myself on this kind of scale. After many, many colour adjustments, I ran it through Corel Painter’s auto-paint and threw a dried grass texture and some grunge on top. Voilà! Instant oil on canvas. 🙂
Anyway, this marks the end of my award-winning comic. I hope you all enjoyed it and won’t experience withdrawal symptoms when you have to go back to Salamander’s art. *snigger* So that’s it from me. Thank you all and goodnight!

@Paul (or whoever organises the episode scripts) By the way, wouldn’t it be better to air the shorts at the same time the main story continues? Then it would go faster, because roughly two episodes per year doesn’t seem to be a quick way to make the third season.
Yeah,if this was a show, 2 episodes is kind of slow.
Wait, let me get this straight. One ‘episode’ is about twenty-five pages. So if we set a reasonable pace of two seasons a year with thirteen episodes each, that comes to 650 pages a year or 12-13 pages a week. Are you frickin’ kidding me?!
Why would I want to put the short out at the same time? The purpose of the shorts are to create a month and a half of breathing room between chapters so we have that month and a half to go over everything and start production on it. The scripts get fine altered and changed till the last minute.
As for 2 episodes.. Do you wanna waste 8 hours on each page and try getting that done every day just so we can “hurry”. Takes work to get stuff out. I mean if you want to hurry everything up I’m sure we can come up with a really crappy script and draw some shitastic stickmen, then I’m sure we could update daily. Sound good buddy boy?
i don’t see why you guys are complaining, the shorts are a quick mounth thing, it’s gives paul and the rest of them to work on the next chapter and we have something to look at. and about the one episode crap what are you guys five year olds? it shouldn’t matter how many chapters are out in a year you should be happy we got them, if you guys are complaining that there to slow then why don’t they just get ride of the whole sea3on thing… you should be happy with what we got, and like paul said its this or just stick figures really what sounds better?
@Paul Hey, I never talked about making the pages daily.
Maybe the shorts aren’t made to be at the same time like I said, but I thought a better idea to make episodes quicker.
Right now, main episodes are weekly, being posted (if I’m not wrong) on Mondays or Fridays. What about turning it to a three-page every two weeks?
I mean, for example, instead of Monday-Monday-Monday, it could be Monday-Friday-Wednesday-Monday…
Again, time time time time time. We all have lifes outside of this you know. And I was referring to Tikhaos about how its going “slow”. Its a once a week web comic besides the shorts that are twice a week. Shorts are twice a week because I have them long in advance.

LOVE! the comic and I think you guys space it out good enough because then you have time to get excited, I hold my breath whenever I press the sea3on button on the news page because I cant wait to find out what happens next.

Antoine must be a coward to keep with the SatAM spirit.
The only thing I’d like would be that he overcame his fears in the finale, at the right time to save his friends. But it should be an epic moment in the main episode, I think a short wouldn’t make enough justice to the moment.
@Ultimate Hammer Bro: it’s all a question of how you write it, it didn’t work well for the Archie Comics version of Antione because rather than show actual growth and development of character they hand-waved the sudden changes as Patch screwing with his life. Had the changes occurred gradually or shown some indication that the underlying traits were still there but more controlled, it would have worked much better.
…come to think of it that seems to be something they do alot… just going “BAM! now it’s different!” all the time, its really jarring. which is a mistake i am very glad Paul doesn’t repeat.
