I’m not going to lie, I loved how this page turned out. Its just a good strip.
Anyways few things. First up.. Just what the hell is Naugus anyways? I mean species wise, I don’t want some smart ass saying “A evil wizard!”. In my opinion he is like a cross between a dinosaur, a unicorn, and a leprechaun. So what do you think he is?

If I remember my mythos right, I believe he’s the combination of a Rhino Mobian, Crab Mobian, and Bat Mobian.
Not quite sure on the Crab Mobian part. But I know I’m right on the Rhino and Bat Mobian parts.

Tialpoy is right on all three parts. In Archie’s Sonic the Hedgehog, there was an issue that explains the origin of Nagus… unfortunately I do not know which one. Heh, kind of funny though, Nagus right now is the main villain in the comic right now. A good read!

There’s a glove on the claw…. is it an actual claw or perhaps a robotic or other type of prosthetic appendage?

Anyway…Saber…your portrayal of Nagus is awesome! You nailed it! And I love the bug-eyed Snively. Somehow I get the feeling that with that attitude he won’t be sitting on that throne much longer.
He’s a Chao.
He is an evil wizard who Robotnik overthrough so he could overthrow King Acorn who just is really REALLY ugly. He is actually just a regular squirrel, who just happens to be really REALLY REALLY ugly.
He’s an escaped circus freak from Neptune. Originally he was going to be an escaped circus freak from Pluto, but that’s no longer considered a planet, so they had to settle for Neptune.
I think he’s a cross between Gandalf, M Bison, and a can opener. :b

I much prefer this type of shading and art to what you had going before, Saber. I’ve so far been very impressed with the new chapter. Keep it up!

Ok, Naugus claims to be in a weakened state yet he’s able to teleport & crush robots with his bare hands. No wonder Robotniick was so afraid of him
In all seriousness, I’ve always thought that SatAM Naugus was one of the Mandaaras — perhaps the very last surviving specimen. (Personally, I’ve also always imagined that Naugus himself was responsible for his own species being practically wiped out. *evil shudder*)
Ixis Naugus’ origin was revealed in Archie Sonic issue 66:

Remember though, what happened in Archie stays in Archie. We’re following the SatAM storyline, so chances are Naugus’ origin (when we touch on it) won’t be the same as what Archie developed. 🙂
i like archie and satam the cool part of archie is they used Satam characters and modern sonic characters and new characters =D
Well, I liked the idea of Naugus being a Mandaara (or Mandarra?). But the Archie origin is really good (only I’d simplify it a bit, remember that SatAM, so good as it is, is a Saturday morning show).

I also wanted to say that for me, it also applied to Mobius and Robotnik’s backstory.
The idea of a future Earth and the Overlanders is good, but I’d get rid of all the filler in it (Forgotten Wars, Mammoth Mogul, Nate Morgan: whose invention of the Power Rings has passed to Uncle Chuck in SatAM, and even the normal remaining humans: I think the idea of US in Mobius isn’t good). However, I’d keep Ivan Kintobor as the one responsible for the humans’ extinction.
Yeah I like Archie’s origin for Mobius & having other humans would explain Lazar.
