why do I get the feeling that the swat bot’s joining the freedom fighters will be cut short by either, his programming reasserting itself or by Sonic with a triggerhappy spin attack
@Okida: Well, considering my earlier comment about when I think this takes place, I think Sonic would still be in a bad mood about Tails’ near-death to even see a SWAT-Bot, much less work with it.
With what money? Sadly this is a fan comic. We can’t sell books off without dealing with a ton of copyright issues. There for the printing of any books would just come out of our own pockets.
Back in the day when we first started Sea3on we thought we could do small printings with our own money and give the books away in contests. Sadly the costs for that are still too expensive. This is a free comic and website. With that said, we still pay the staff, server space, and upgrades out of our own pockets. That and donations. But mostly it comes out of myself and John’s wallet.
Sorry for the long post but I really would LOVE to print this off and give it away as prises etc. Just money is a big issue with that. So… We must deal with what we have. And what we have is a awesome webcomic.
@Paul
Ever thought about taking a look to Asian laws? Maybe there could be some way to publish it. There are “doujinshi” (fan manga) festivals in which the authors sell their work, even if they use copyrighted characters (for example, the two famous Dragon Ball AF Fan-Mangas have been sold in those festivals by their authors, and they haven’t been sued).
There could be a way of avoiding the copyright laws by publishing it that way, or a similar one.
But I understand and support your point of view. Those doujinshi things are just curious, but Sea3on is too good to endanger it by attempting to obtain some profit.
Pal… it seems so usnsure of itself, I’ll bet that Sonic will be the end of it… oh well. I like where this seems to be heading and I can’t wait to see if I’m even half correct with my thoughts. This is an amazing comic BTW.

Yeah thats right PAL. European television standards.
PAL is not so bad XD
Rotor and the Swat Bot will become friends, then the bot’s original programing will take over, and the bot will have to be destroyed.
And then Rotor will cry.
And the rest of us will cry.
MANLY TEARS SHALL BE SHED BY ALL (even the women).
You know what? You guys should polish up some of the older comics, and release a book. That’d be pretty cool.

I’m pretty sure they’d have to actually live in Japan for Japanese copyright laws to apply…

… seriously, for what purpose would Sonic walk in besides wanting to talk to a friend, which they probably do a lot as it is?
For another thing, Rotor probably locks his door. Especially when he’s doing something like THIS.
Pal….pal…
Wait a second.
LIKE HAL?
“I’m afraid I can’t do that, Rotor…”
