And so it finally gets uploaded. I’m sorry this one took a little longer, but I just wanted to make sure everything looked fine.
Oh, and near the tail end of it I ran head first into some trouble with the sepia toning. I had to look something up, do some tests to see if it looked right. In the end, I think it came out alright.
So, good bye green screen of annoyance, hello sepia tones.
And as a head up, if pages get delayed I’ll at least try to upload some work in the new forum I started up, Sea3on Side Work. Anything from Sonic stuff, non Sonic, drawings, animation, whatever. Just to give you guys something.

This page looks certainly better planned than the “Blast to the Past” paradox XD
But again, I was expecting to get some backstory information about the Great War (who were the enemies I mean), and I just get the “War Claws” reference.
We’ll have to wait to see what is finally revealed.
Looks like King Acorn hasn’t grown is ‘stache yet.
All that work really pays off, and I can’t tell you how much I look forward to seeing new pages for this. 🙂 I’m so pumped for a Great War backstory!!!
One question though: Am I the only one having a rough time imagining Tim Curry’s voice behind that cute and ‘stacheless King Max???
…Maybe I just need to find some younger Curry sound clips to make it work for me. To the YOUTUBES!

Oh my gosh, an amazing page. I like how cute the King and Queen look in this! Snively looks increasingly worried, I wonder why (sarcasm). I am laughing at how bored Julian/Robotnik is with the whole situation.

Regarding Robotnik’s expression… well, no reason for him to be worried… he’s not going to pull an evil grin out right now, that just might give it away he may not be the best guy to work with… sympathetic wouldn’t have been right fort this scene….
My idea was just make him look look like the straight man. No emotion showing, he’s just doing his job, which not give away that one day he’ll overthrow them all and turn their perfect world into a mechanical nightmare.
I’m a bit confused as to Robotnik’s eyes. They have pupils here, implying that they’re not the mechanical ones seen in the show, but their “whites” are still a very unnatural black. Are they supposed to be organic?
I guess this is just Saber’s style. If they would be organic, the eyes wouldn’t be black .
Well… we don’t exactly know how his eyes turned black, do we? I think that not even the Archie comics gave an answer.
